In much more exciting news, Samsung is all set to launch its much-awaited mixed reality headset today, October 21st (which will be early morning on October 22nd for us in India)! [17, 26] This new device, expected to be called the Samsung Galaxy XR, is the company's answer to the Apple Vision Pro. [17] The grand unveiling is happening at a special 'Worlds Wide Open' Galaxy event. Samsung has been teasing that this headset is designed to bring AI into our everyday immersive experiences. Now for some serious news from the startup world. A recent development in the US is causing a bit of a headache for Indian-founded AI startups based there. The US government has introduced a new, hefty $100,000 H-1B visa fee for fresh applications, which kicked in this September. [10] This is making it much harder and more expensive for these innovative startups to hire top tech talent from around the world. This could potentially slow down the growth of these promising Indian-led firms. On a more positive note, the Indian government continues to forge global partnerships to boost our tech ecosystem. A recent landmark agreement is the new India-UK Connectivity and Innovation Centre.
