While the final crewed mission is slated for 2027, the first of three uncrewed missions, featuring the humanoid 'Vyomitra', is expected to take off by the end of this year. The government has allocated $1.2 billion to boost our domestic AI infrastructure, supporting everything from GPU-based computing to the development of our own Large Language Models (LLMs) under the National Programme on Artificial Intelligence and Digital India initiatives. On the startup front, funding continues to pour in, with AI startups raising $5.3 billion till October 2025. Just this week, AI enterprise solutions firm Uniphore raised a massive $260 million in a funding round led by tech giants like NVIDIA and AMD.
